Compaq Introduces New Evo Notebooks
The Compaq N200 sets a new standard for mobility by delivering an aggressive, lightweight and affordable design with enough battery life to make it through an entire workday without recharging, while the Evo Notebook N160 packs all the technology and performance features integral to everyday business into an affordable, thin and light notebook priced at $1,399.

Designed with the mobile user in mind, the Compaq Evo Notebook N200 delivers a powerful, full featured notebook in a sleek, ultra-light 2.5 pound design that can operate more than 6 hours without having to recharge the batteries.
Priced at just $1,799, the Evo N200 is powered by an Ultra Low Voltage Mobile Intel Pentium III 700 MHz-M processor and features a crisp, bright 10.4" TFT XGA display with magnesium enclosure, 20 GB hard drive, 192 MB of memory, dual battery support, legacy free design and optional Mobile Expansion Unit (MEU) with a wide range of multimedia capabilities. By combining the standard 6-cell Lithium Polymer battery with an optional 4-cell Lithium Ion external handle battery, Evo N200 users can experience more than six hours of battery life in an ultra-slim, ultra-light form factor.
The Evo N200 also supports the Compaq WL110 Wireless PC Card for true wireless LAN mobility in the home or office and iPAQnet mobility wireless wide area networking solutions to keep users connected anytime, anywhere. Compaq Evo Notebook N160
The Compaq Evo Notebook N160 combines a thin, lightweight design with maximum computing power to deliver a combination that is ideal for business customers seeking an economical yet highly mobile notebook computer.
Starting at just $1,399 and weighing just over five pounds, the Evo Notebook N160 makes mobility more affordable than ever. It comes configured with your choice of an Intel(R) Celeron(R) 933 MHz or Pentium(R) III 1 GHz processor, 14.1" XGA TFT display, Mini-PCI V.92 modem, integrated 10/100 NIC, DVD-ROM optical drive and up to 20 GB hard drives.
The Compaq Evo Notebook N160 also offers high-end multimedia capabilities including ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics, S-Video out and IEEE 1394 digital video input.

Compaq Evo N600c
Compaq also today announced technology upgrades to the Evo Notebook N600c. Powerful new processor and graphics options now deliver workstation class performance in a lightweight notebook that weighs less than 5 pounds. The Evo N600c features a 1.2 GHz -M Mobile Intel Pentium III-M processor, ATI Mobility Radeon graphics adapter with 32MB of DDR (double data rate) SDRAM memory, 14.1" SXGA+ TFT display and high performance DVD/CD-RW optical drives. The enhanced ergonomic design of the Evo N600c includes a full-size keyboard, contoured palm rest and a dual pointing devices which includes both pointstick and touchpad.
The N600c features integrated wireless capabilities via MultiPort, a Compaq exclusive. MultiPort is an interchangeable module that slides into place on the back of the notebook and becomes an integral element of the notebook. This flexible, innovative solution allows users to connect using multiple wireless standards such as 802.11b wireless LAN or Bluetooth(TM) for ad hoc personal area networking by simply changing out the MultiPort module.
