Aladdin Systems Ships Windows XP Update for DragStrip 3.8

DragStrip Is the Ultimate Desktop Organizer for Instant Access To Frequently-Used Applications, Files, Folders, Websites and Information Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Aladdin Systems, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aladdin Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTC: ALHI), today announced a new version of DragStrip(R), 3.8, is available for Windows XP with full support for XP themes. DragStrip software helps eliminate desktop clutter and repeated searches by allowing users to organize their favorite files, folders, disks and URLs in one location on easy-to-use desktop launching pads, or "strips." A new "Unread Mail" feature allows users to see how many unread email messages they have and to easily access them from DragStrip. DragStrip users can work faster and more efficiently because everything needed is all in one location and one mouse click away. DragStrip can float its strips in front of other windows, even while other applications are running, to ensure fast access to favorite files.

To speed access to all items, even those not specifically stored on a strip, DragStrip lets users click and hold the folder or disk strip button to produce a hierarchical menu that allows navigation directly to any file on any available disk. Anyone who has ever kept a folder or disk shortcut on the Start Menu will appreciate the speed with which DragStrip allows access to files. Add the Network Neighborhood icon to a DragStrip button to gain instant access to items stored on remote disks too.

Unlike the Start Menu, DragStrip allows users to configure the behavior of buttons directly from the strip. A DragStrip button can be configured to launch an application, open a default document, pass a command line to the program, and set the directory it will start in when opening files, all with a single click of the mouse.
