America Online and D-Link Announce Expanded Alliance

July 14, 2004 - America Online, Inc., the world's leading interactive services company, and D-Link, the global leading provider of consumer network connectivity, today announced an expanded alliance that will deliver AOL for Broadband's original programming and services beyond the PC. The companies also announced that the D-Link MediaLounge DSM-320 Wireless Media Player featuring access to Radio@AOL, part of the #1 Internet broadcasting service, is now generally available.

Through an expanded alliance, America Online and D-Link will look for additional ways to bring AOL original programming and services to consumers, on-demand, from virtually any room in the home.

The D-Link Media Lounge DSM-320, which is now available for purchase online and in select retail locations, allows consumers with a high speed Internet connection and a home entertainment network to access Radio@AOL's more than 175 originally programmed, CD-quality radio stations directly on their home entertainment system without actually being logged on to the internet via their PC or the AOL for Broadband service. The D-Link DSM-320 also streams digital music, photo and video files from any PC on the network to the TV or stereo(s) via a wired or wireless connection. Consumers can easily enjoy and share rich, entertaining, digital content when and how they want it.

"We believe that digital home entertainment is here for everyone, and our partnership with D-Link is a step in the right direction to delivering consumers more value from our service, their broadband connections and their home networks," said Lisa Hook, President of AOL for Broadband. "We're bringing consumers the ultimate convenience by making AOL's original entertainment services available in living rooms, family rooms, bedrooms, and beyond. We have the right products, services and content to help consumers get more out of their basic high-speed connections and enjoy the next level of true digital home entertainment."

"Radio@AOL leads a feature rich set of entertaining options that are offered in the D-Link MediaLounge DSM-320 at retail," said Steven Joe, President and CEO of D-Link Systems, Inc. "We are pleased to be working with America Online on the combined retail launch of these digital home products for consumers and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship."
