Samsung Enhances its CRT Monitors

11/12/2001 -- Samsung, the world’s leading manufacturer of CRT and TFT monitors, enhances its award-winning line of CRT displays with two new outstanding technology features that provide the user with greater viewing capabilities and easier navigation of the On-Screen controls. Samsung is adding MouScreen software and HighLight Zone to many of its 17” and 19” high-end SyncMaster displays. The enhanced monitors are currently shipping and will be on exhibit at Samsung’s booth #L4842 at Comdex, November 12-16 in Las Vegas. Our new On-Screen software and controls maximize performance, optimize the overall user experience and make user adjustments as simple as possible.”

New Advanced HighLight Zone and MouScreen Features
The convenient MouScreen software lets users make screen adjustments to Color, Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness, and a variety of other controls with the click of a finger. MouScreen controls the On-Screen Display functions via a mouse though the USB connection from the host computer to the display.

HighLight Zone allows users to select a specific area of the monitor (or even the entire screen) and directly adjust the Size (horizontal/vertical), Brightness, Contrast, Color and Sharpness of the specified area. This feature is ideal for users who display video, streaming video or install a TV tuner card in their computer. Hightlight Zone is a technology advancement that enhances viewing enjoyment when playing games, movies or other multimedia applications by allowing the user to emphasize and fine tune a particular area on the screen or the entire screen. The HighLight Zone is controlled via the On-Screen Display.

The MouScreen software and HighLight Zone feature are included in the following new and refreshed Samsung SyncMaster CRT displays: 700IFT, 900IFT, 700NF, 900NF and 957FS. In addition, these displays also offer a built-in USB down stream port that will interface directly to the host computer or Samsung’s optional USB Hub. The USB hub is an option on Samsung’s complete line of SyncMaster displays. USB simplifies hook up to desktop peripherals -- such as the keyboard, mouse, joystick, printer or scanner -- and offers improved PC-to-peripheral performance. The HighLight Zone is also included in the 955DF and 950B displays.

All newly enhanced SyncMaster displays include Natural ColorÔ software which tunes up your display to ensure that the colors you see on your Samsung monitor are consistent with the original images -- from detailed graphics programs to Web site merchandise.
