Samsung Announces the World’s Largest Flat Panel Monitor

Samsung, the world’s number one manufacturer of CRT and TFT computer monitors, introduces the new SyncMaster 400T 40” flat-panel display targeted to the Pro AV and corporate marketplace. The SyncMaster 400T is Samsung’s largest LCD information technology display and the ideal presentation monitor for digital signage applications such as flight information in airports, the latest stock-market information, commercial display for use in stores, shops or any public facility where information or applications are continuously running. For an array of display options, Samsung’s 400T features variable aspect ratios including 16:9 for HDTV viewing, panorama view, zoom and the traditional 4:3 for PC-based applications. In addition, the monitor features Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture capabilities for viewing of two sources (PC and Video) at the same time, and features user-friendly On Screen Graphics (OSG) controls and a universal remote, supporting a verity of management controls. The 400T also utilizes an anti-reflection filter that diminishes the ambient glare from the display allowing clear, vibrant text and saturated color.

The SyncMaster 400T offers a gamut of signal inputs for direct hook up to nearly any video source, The Interface includes composite video, S-video , component video for DVD and HDTV at 480i/p, 720p and 1080i viewing, and RGB both analog and digital input for the PC.
