Rand McNally Combines StreetFinder Deluxe with Nexian’s HandyGPS

Nov. 16, 2000--Rand McNally and Nexian today announced a new initiative that will unite Rand McNally's top-selling StreetFinder Deluxe Travel Navigation Software with Nexian's HandyGPS system, one of the first hand-held global positioning systems (GPS) designed for the Handspring Visor. By packaging StreetFinder Deluxe with the HandyGPS unit, Rand McNally and Nexian will provide a portable, all-in-one mapping and navigation solution.

Together, HandyGPS and StreetFinder Deluxe put the power of GPS and street-level mapping in a PDA for quick and instant access to location data. Nexian's 12 channel GPS receiver is designed to fit the Handspring Visor Springboard expansion slot. StreetFinder Deluxe software offers the ability to download maps, directions, points of interest and business services while en route or stationary. The software also provides map searching, customizing and manipulating tools.
