FOCUS Enhancements (NASDAQ: FCSE) announced that it will showcase several new technologies in the Multimedia Terminals and Gaming Arena at the Fall 2001 Comdex Exposition (Booth # L1829) in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 12 - 16, 2001. Technology demonstrations will include: a new low cost ST Microelectronics KYRO II reference design with very high quality TV output for the ultimate home electronic gaming experience; a new National Semiconductor SC3200/FS450 reference design for low cost Internet set-top box implementation; and a new Intel/Sigma Designs/FOCUS FS460 reference design for interactive TV, media terminal and media gateway systems. STMicroelectronics KYRO II / FOCUS Enhancements FS450 Computer-TV Encoder Reference design: The combination of KYRO II and FOCUS FS450 offers the perfect combination to take 3D gaming from the computer room to the family's home entertainment center as well as workstations for animations and 3D modeling.

FS450 Low Cost Intel ADD Bus Reference Design: FOCUS has available a low cost plug-in card for PC systems incorporating ADD/AGP enabled bus slots. With the introduction of Intel's 82830 Northbridge Unified Memory Graphics Controller, the future for low cost add-in boards to enable PCs to include TV output was revealed. FOCUS is prepared to transfer a complete manufacturing kit to partners wishing to manufacture a very low cost, very high quality TV output option to any ADD enabled computer.

Intel/Sigma Designs/Tuxia/FOCUS FS460 reference design: Initially demonstrated at Intel's Developer's Forum in August, the combination of these four partners offers the best solution for home gateways, interactive TVs, and integrated video media terminals. The FS460 integrates two independent video streams with computer graphics for a media rich home entertainment system capable of serving the entire home.

Low Cost National/FOCUS FS450 Information Appliances: A collection of low cost information appliances all based on the National Semiconductor Geode processor family will be on display demonstrating the highest quality TV encoder solution with the lowest cost x86-core solution. Solutions demonstrated are from manufacturers in the USA, Taiwan, South Korea, and Hong Kong/China.
