Zenith's New Widescreen Plasma Displays Include 60-Inch HDTV
Boasting four screen sizes ranging from 40 to 60 inches, the big, flat and thin hang-on-the-wall models include the 60-inch P60W26 Widescreen HDTV Monitor, the 50-inch P50W26 Widescreen HDTV Monitor, the 42-inch P42W26 Widescreen EDTV Monitor, and the 40-inch DPDP40V 4:3 EDTV Monitor.
The ultra-thin P60W26 HDTV Monitor features a high 1280 x 720p resolution capability that assures outstanding quality from a broad range of inputs that include HD, NTSC, VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA. The giant screen, as large as four 30-inch wide TVs combined, achieves an impressive contrast ratio of 330:1, while an internal Faroudja/Sage scan converter provides Intelligent Image Scaling for maximum picture clarity.
The monitor's numerous inputs, which also include an RS-232 port, make it fully compatible with DVDs, computers, digital broadcasting and multimedia, as well as traditional video sources. When used with a computer, a picture-in- picture mode keeps the TV image available in an inset box. Built-in aspect ratio correction allows the intelligent resizing of video and computer images to 16:9 widescreen or 4:3 conventional formats.
The 50-inch P50W26 HDTV Monitor features an exceptional 1366 x 768 resolution, and boasts a high contrast ratio of 460:1. Like the 60-inch P60W26, the light, ultra-thin P50W26 provides an internal Faroudja/Sage scan converter for Intelligent Image Scaling and maximum picture clarity, built-in aspect ratio correction, and HD, NTSC, VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA inputs for full compatibility with DVDs, computers, digital broadcasting, multimedia, and traditional video sources. RS-232 controls, DVI inputs and a unique display mode that changes the image from horizontal to vertical further enhance this state-of-the-art monitor.
Zenith's new enhanced-definition P42W26 EDTV Monitor features a 42-inch display designed to deliver a high-quality 852 x 480P resolution picture at a more affordable price. High performance features, including an internal Faroudja/Sage scan converter for Intelligent Image Scaling, built-in aspect ratio correction, RS-232 controls and DVI inputs, are enhanced by an extraordinary contrast ratio of 500:1. Additional inputs are provided for SD, NTSC, VGA and SVGA, assuring full compatibility with digital and traditional video sources.
The 40-inch DPDP40V Widescreen EDTV Monitor delivers a high quality picture featuring 640 x 480P resolution, enhanced by an exceptional contrast ratio of 500:1. Like Zenith's larger models, key features include an internal Faroudja/Sage scan converter for Intelligent Image Scaling, built-in aspect ratio correction, and inputs for SD, NTSC, VGA and SVGA connections.
All four monitors can be mounted on an optional tabletop pedestal. Wall mounting hardware, optional speakers and speaker stands also are available.
The P60W26 and P50W26 Widescreen HDTV Monitors have suggested prices of $19,999 and $11,999, respectively, and will be available from Zenith dealers in the second and third quarters of 2002, respectively.
