XBox rocks CES

Microsoft leaked details of its much anticipated XBox at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new XBox form factor will be a black set top box with a glowing green jewel on its hood.

XBox is three times faster than Sony's PS2. It will be powered by a 733MHz Intel chip and have at least 8MB of memory. The DVD-games offer real time 3D animation and each machine will come equipped with an Ethernet adapter for high speed online gaming.

Other XBox news: Microsoft will announce an aggressive US launch planned for fall 2001.
