December 5, 2003-- To provide home theater enthusiasts with a definitive home theater experience, DWIN Electronics. Inc. today introduced its most advanced 16:9 high definition digital video projection system, the TransVision10. The new system offers an outstanding, film-like viewing experience for the most demanding home theater installations.

The TransVision10 will be introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8 – 11, 2004, Booth 18811 in the Home Theater/Home Systems exhibit area (South Hall 1).

Based on 3-chip DLP technology from Texas Instruments, Inc., the TransVision10’s design is similar to commercial digital cinema projection systems. High definition images are reproduced with three HD2 (1280x720) DMD, each projecting a separate color (red, green and blue) to yield an image with unprecedented resolution and quality.

For easy installation in almost any home theater environment, the TransVision10 has six different lens options: one for rear projection with a fixed throw ratio of 0.64, and five front projection zoom lenses with combined throw ratios from 1.2 to 5.6 times the width of the projected image. Power zoom, focus and both vertical and horizontal lens shift features allow precise image adjustments with the remote control.

The TransVision10 provides true high-definition and stunning, film-like images. Movie theater realism is achieved with DWIN’s acclaimed video signal processing:

• Deep black levels and natural color reproduction are secured with precision grayscale settings and optimal gamma selection;
• Motion artifacts are virtually eliminated with DWIN’s Adaptive Film Mode Processing algorithm; and
• Picture depth is increased with Signal Dynamic Range Expansion circuitry.

Like all DWIN display systems, the TransVision10 is comprised of two separate components: an easy-to-install DLP video projector unit and a separate video processor/scaler. The processor accepts up to 10 video input signals including two DVI/HDCP.

This unique system design allows for complete digital connectivity from the source to the display, ensuring the best possible picture quality. As an added benefit, installations are correspondingly faster and less complex with a proprietary DVI cable designed to easily run through a 1” conduit. The processor can be conveniently located near all the video gear in one central location in the home theater.

Suggested retail price for the TransVision 10 is $22,950; optional lenses range from $2,500 to $3,500.
