Jan. 5, 2006 -- Today Palm, Inc. will showcase a brand-new member of the Palm Treo smartphone family -- the highly anticipated Treo 700w smartphone, which takes advantage of Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess service on its EV-DO network. The Treo 700w smartphone also is the first Treo smartphone to run the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, bringing the hallmark Palm ease of use to Windows Mobile for the first time. It combines a great mobile phone with broadbandlike access to wireless email and business applications.
Palm's booth (No. SO 3/30735) also will feature Palm OS based Treo 650 smartphones, Palm Z22 organizers, Palm TX and Palm Tungsten E2 handhelds, and the LifeDrive mobile manager, as well as more than 25 accessories. Palm partners also will be demonstrating solutions ranging from Wi-Fi accessibility to office applications in the Palm booth.
