DTS Exhibits the Latest Surround Sound Solutions At the 2002 International CES

Company Shows New Consumer Hardware Applications and DVD-Audio ContentDec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- DTS (Digital Theater Systems, Inc.), the digital audio technology company dedicated to delivering the ultimate entertainment experience, will demonstrate its newest 5.1-channel surround sound applications for the consumer electronics and entertainment industries at the 2002 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8-11.

Exhibiting at the LVCC, Meeting Room #N236, DTS will demonstrate the latest in surround innovations for consumer electronics via unique high-tech displays created by WinnTech Digital Systems, Inc.
  • Car Audio - Entering a special simulation of a car setting, visitors will find out how 5.1-channel surround sound can transform the car audio experience.
  • Video Games - DTS will demonstrate the world's first PlayStation(R) 2 video games that feature real-time, interactive surround sound during game-play.
  • PC - Featuring DTS audio decoding technology and a surround speaker format, this display will allow attendees to experience home theater quality sound via the PC.

The meeting room will also feature information on all DTS technology solutions, including DTS-ES, Neo:6 and DTS 96/24 for consumer electronics and entertainment.

Additionally at ICES, DTS Entertainment, the division of DTS that licenses, produces and markets 5.1 Surround Music content, will demonstrate new DVD-Audio titles in 5.1 surround, at the Alexis Park Booth #2901. A special show price will be available on a wide selection of DVD-Audio discs, at the Alexis Park Booth #2801.

Visitors to the LVCC meeting room who participate in technology demos will be eligible to receive DTS's brand new demo DVD-V #6, which includes clips from Jurassic Park III, Shrek, Planet of the Apes, Moulin Rouge, and Rush Hour 2. The DVD also includes a 5.1 version of Queen's "The Prophet Song," from DTS Entertainment's much-anticipated DVD-Audio release of A Night At The Opera. DTS-E will also offer a free DVD-Audio sampler disc to every attendee who purchases any of the "show special" discs.
