MIVO 300 In the last days of the 20th century, with Americans zapping e-mail messages to and from an incredible 333,500,000 e-mail accounts, consumers increasingly had come to rely on e-mail to stay connected with friends and family.
Now Cidco Inc is ringing in the 21st century with an even better way to stay connected by introducing its sexy new Mivo 200, which will be showcased at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) January 69, 2001 in Las Vegas.

Mivo 200 Builds on Popularity of MailStation Predecessor
This Mivo (rhymes with "five-oh") generation of e-mail Net appliances from category leader Cidco builds on the popularity of Cidco's MailStation, the original affordable, personal, "one-touch e-mail without-the-PC" appliance that works anywhere, anytime.

With integral keyboard and screen (Cidco provides the Internet connection), MailStation and the more feature-rich Mivo 200 simply plug it into a phone jack, and are ready to use.

MailStation is already available at more than 14,000 retail storefronts in the U.S. Starting in late February and early March, the Mivo 200 will roll out in many of these major retail consumer and electronics chains.

The Mivo 200 offers the same simplicity, convenience, portability, and ease of use as MailStation, but takes it to the next level. Along with e-mail, the Mivo 200 will deliver personal Internet content, as well as a new design, larger keyboard, and 56K modem.

Concurrent with rollout of the Mivo 200, MailStation will be rebranded Mivo 100.

MailStation retails for $99.99 plus $9.95 per month for e-mail service. Annual service plans are also available for MailStation as well as for the new Mivo models.

The Mivo 200 will retail for $129.99, with a monthly service fee of $12.95.

In the April/May period, Cidco will launch the new flagship of the Mivo product line, the Mivo 300, which will retail for $179.99, with a monthly service fee of $14.95.

The Mivo 300 will deliver flexible communication, an ample serving of Internet content, personalized Web channels, personalized HTML Web pages, an improved display screen, and picture attachment capabilities -- PC-like functionality without the hassles of the PC.

Boasting a full-size keyboard, enhanced graphics display, and increased memory to accommodate larger e-mail messages, the Mivo 300 also will provide users with a digital photo album as well as an enhanced electronic calendar and address book.
