Audiovox’s New T-300 Dual-Band, TDMA Handset Features 2-Way SMS

January, 2002 - Audiovox just announced the addition of a new handset to its TDMA (time division multiple access) product line - the dual-band, digital, wireless T-300. Operating on the 800 MHz/1900 MHz TDMA /AMPS frequency, the user-friendly T-300 features 2-way short messaging service (SMS), T9 Text Input, a graphical menu display, internal vibrating call alert and voice mail.

User-changeable faceplates are available for ACC's sleek T-300 so that the consumer can always be color-coordinated and in style. Other optional accessories include a hands-free headset, cigarette lighter charger, desktop charger, a belt clip and a leather carrying case.

The T-300 is available through regional TDMA carriers with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $199.

"Our new T-300 handset was designed to meet the requirements of TDMA carriers and their growing roster of technologically sophisticated customers," said Philip Christopher, President and CEO of Audiovox Communications Corp. "With its good looks, lightweight, ease of use and comprehensive functionality, we think it will be quite popular in this key market."
