Vidikron To Showcase Breakthrough Widescreen Technology at CEDIASeptember 8, 2005 – Vidikron, the leading producer of high definition home theater video displays, is showcasing its state-of-the-art video display technologies at the upcoming CEDIA EXPO 2005 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company will demonstrate the Vision™ Model 100 incorporating the award-winning CineWideTM with AutoScopeTM technology at booth # 124 in the main convention hall at the Indianapolis Convention Center. The CEDIA EXPO tradeshow will run from September 7-11, 2005. “Our newest projector is capable of producing some of the finest cinematic images available, incorporating the latest light and image processing technologies, said Jim McGall, vice president of sales and marketing for Vidikron. “CEDIA attendees who stop by our booth will get first-hand experience of our products’ world-class display capabilities, and wide integration options. The Vision™ Model 100 is a three-chip high-light-output DLP™ projector incorporating the award-winning CineWide™ technology that eliminates black stripes on the top and bottom of the screen while preserving every single line of resolution available from the display’s chips. The motorized AutoScope™ lens assembly allows viewers to switch to the new, extra-wide viewing mode with a single button-push. By combining the Model 100’s LightAmp™ engine the Model 100 creates bright and detailed pictures even in high-ambient-light situations such as family rooms and living rooms, which often double as home theater environments. The projector produces tremendous brightness, measured at 3500 ANSI lumens (78.5 ft-Lamberts CSMS™). The Model 100 also features a high-definition resolution of 1280 x 720, and has a contrast ratio of 2000:1. The multi-standard projector offers a wide variety of performance features including lens shift capability for total installation flexibility.
