HP Offers Fast, Convenient Information Access for Tablet PCs with ‘QuickLook’June 18, 2003--HP today introduced QuickLook, a fast and simple way for mobile professionals to access their personal information on Tablet PCs. QuickLook software allows users to access calendar, contacts and task information without having to wait one to three minutes for their Tablet PC to boot. Instead, mobile professionals can view this information within 10 seconds of turning on the device. Available at no charge for download on all Compaq Tablet PCs, QuickLook provides greater ease and accessibility to the Tablet PC by giving users constant access to local information and applications. The Compaq Tablet PC incorporates additional user-friendly features such as fully programmable launch buttons and a jog dial to enable users one-touch access to launch preset programs and navigate and scroll through applications. The Q menu allows for quick access to common functions such as display brightness, internal wireless control and video-to-projector controls. Comparable in size to a pad of paper, the Compaq Tablet PC is a fully compatible Windows(R) XP PC that allows users to write directly on the screen. With this innovative ability, common business tasks are made more efficient -- such as taking handwritten notes in a meeting for later reference or conversion to text; annotating documents or presentations using digital ink; or easily reading electronic magazines or books. QuickLook can be downloaded at http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/compaqtabletpc/us/download/ 18217.html.
