Surround Sound for the Xbox 360
One of the more recent trends in home theater systems is including full on surround sound. Being enveloped by the sound of an action movie has caught on like wildfire, with more and more users hooking up surround sound systems everyday. So, if you can do it for TV and movies, why can’t you do it for video games? That’s exactly what Pioneer thought when they introduced the HTS-GT1 surround sound system.
The HTS-GT1 is officially licensed for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. Though compact, the HTS-GT1 features a surprisingly strong integrated 6-channel receiver subwoofer that has an output of 600 watts total system power (RMS). Xbox 360 users will be happy to know that the HTS-GS1 supports most of its entertainment features, especially its universal media remote. The remote includes the Xbox guide button, media center button, the cursor, and the X, Y, B, & A controls.
Also featured in the HTS-GT1 is DTS Dolby Digital Surround Decoders, Front Stage Surround, FM/AM presets, and more. The HTS-GS1 will be released in June,2006 with a suggested retail price of $499. www.pioneerelectronics.com
