NCAA Football 07 for Xbox 360

NCAA Football 07Electronic Arts’ newest edition of this sports franchise allows for hours of game play with new improvements on the in-game action. While it may not provide the next-gen sporting game that video game enthusiasts thirst for, it will at least serve as an appetizer.

The greatest advancement in this year’s version of the game is clearly its graphics. On an HD screen, they simply dazzle, making the game look like the real thing more than ever. Shadows, lighting, and textures all closely match their real world equivalents, hinting that maybe this whole next-gen experiment is progressing in the right direction.

The actual game play closely follows that of Madden 06 for Xbox, with many of the new features appearing in the collegiate ranks. The in-season recruiting adds an extra level of skill and fun to the game, providing you with a way to ensure the future of your dynasty without having the computer automatically assign new players to your team.

Mini-games like “Tug-of-War” and “Bowling” provide additional entertainment, but do not really expand on the game itself. The 360 version of the game lacks the player development extras that other versions contain, somewhat limiting the entire experience. However, overall it is a good sports game that will whet the football fan’s appetite until this year’s Madden is finally unveiled on August 22nd.

The retail price for EA’s NCAA Football 07 is $60. More information can be found at www.ea.com.
