About The Equinox Resort
Though the historic landmark has been a favorite of travelers for the past 200 years, The Equinox resort will boast updated 21st century designs in Spring of 2008. Acclaimed designer, Geoffrey Bradfield, one of the foremost designers of his generation, is responsible for the extensive renovation. He has been included on four separate occasions in Architectural Digest magazine’s “AD 100” list, and is regularly featured on the pages of design publications such as Interior Design, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home and The New York Times.

The Spa at the Equinox reflects the beauty and nature of Vermont’s well-preserved environment in both its aesthetics and in its list of treatments. These treatments incorporate and utilize products indigenous to the surrounding Vermont region including wildflowers, mineral clay, and even Vermont’s culinary staple: Maple Syrup, being the main ingredient in the spa’s own Maple Scrub exfoliate. Another spa item, The Mountain Man Facial, a rejuvenating facial designed especially for men, helps to establish that facial treatments are not just for women anymore. An additional skin therapy that borrows from Vermont’s charm is the Equinox Essential, a head-to-toe treatment that incorporates the Red Clover, both state flower and natural anti-oxidant.

The Equinox offers numerous activities including an 18-hole golf course with lessons available by PGA and LPGA Professional Joan McDonald and her staff. Also, guests at The Equinox are invited to try falconry, one of the world’s oldest sports, at The British School of Falconry, which is the nation’s first school of its kind to offer hands-on lessons. The resort’s Off-road Driving School features off-pavement driving instruction in the spring, summer and fall as well as a dedicated snow and ice driving school in the winter. Guests can also experience the many challenges of Field Archery, navigating trails throughout the woodlands surrounding the resort and stopping at 14 realistic animal targets to test for accuracy and aim.
