DxO Labs Announces DxO Optics Pro V3.55: Support for Canon EOS 30D
We just learned that DxO Labs announced that DxO Optics Pro v3.55, one of our favorite software imagining programs, now supports the popular, new Canon EOS 30D Digital Single-lens Reflex camera. Existing users of either DxO Optics Pro Elite or Standard versions can add support for the Canon EOS 30D free of charge from the DxO Optics Pro web site. DxO Optics Pro v3.55 is the award-winning digital image enhancement tool incorporating revolutionary optics, noise and exposure corrections in an easy-to-use, feature rich application for Mac and PC users.
Luc Marin, vice president of the Photography Business at DxO Labs, and all-around good guy, told me that, “Canon shooters were obviously very anxious for us to support the most recent Digital SLR from this leading brand. We have been able to turn around the development of our software to support this camera in a very short period and provide support for a significant number of companion lenses from the outset”.
I encourage all Canon EOS 30D (and anyone else that has a high-quality DSLR and cares enough about image quality to shoot raw) to check out the free demo version available at DxO’s web site. Once you see the amazing results you will want to use it for all of your important pictures. To be fair, the improvements offered are most obvious when you are using a lens that is not quite as good as a really top Nikon or Canon optic. In fact, DxO is a perfect compliment to the ubiquitous “Kit” lenses that come with many of entry level DSLRs. You will see a marked improvement in image quality.
DxO Optics Pro v3.55 support for the Canon EOS 30D debuts with an initial assortment of 12 popular lenses, including the recently released Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM. And, as usual, more lens support will be added throughout the coming weeks and months.
Fully functional demonstration versions of DxO Optics Pro v3.55 are available at www.dxo.com.
