Pictures Direct from Cell Phone to Frame

Parrot Photo Viewer Cameras on phones are one of the great innovations over the past few years. They’re quickly becoming commonplace on most new cell phones, available to snap a picture of a celebrity or good time at a moment’s notice when real cameras are unavailable. But one of the problems that have arisen with this new technology is showing off your spontaneous photos. Parrot has developed a flashy way to showcase digital photos taken on your Bluetooth compatible phone.

Parrot’s Photo Viewer is a 3” x 5” picture frame that has an LCD screen built into it, displaying images in crisp color. By connecting your phone to the screen through Bluetooth technology, pictures can be downloaded from the camera phone to the frame almost instantly, resizing the photo to fit the LCD screen. The picture can be reoriented vertically or horizontally on the screen, using the easy to use button interface on the rear of the frame. To use the device, all you need to do is plug the screen’s AC adapter into a wall, send photos from your Bluetooth capable phone or computer, and enjoy the illuminated images on the screen. The Photo Viewer stores multiple pictures, around 100 JPEG images on the 32 MB internal memory. One of the cool features is the ability to set up a slideshow, running through your photo album.

Aside from the well defined, clear pictures presented on the LCD screen, the frame itself is easy on the eyes as well. The frame comes in two types, either black leather with silver lacing or white-leaded oak crafted out of the most noble materials in a variety of colors designed to match your home interior. With its fine finishing, the product is both high tech and high class. The device really looks like a piece of art, with its clean looking frame and futuristic-looking screen lighting up the center with a procession of images. Coming out of the package, it looks as though a desk accessory has been sent back twenty years from the future.

Parrot’s Photo Viewer runs at about $279. More on the product can be found at www.parrot.biz/usa/index.php.
