Plants? Yeah, They’re a Guy Thing.
That’s why two new plants hitting garden centers this spring appeal to me. Endless Summer Hydrangeas and Easy Elegance Roses. These are tough plants that score big points in the beauty department. They’re easy to take care of, and they’ll get you lots of props for your gardening prowess – even if you really have none. Let’s face it, they’re a great way to impress your neighbors and the women in your life. A Rose By Any Other Name
Easy Elegance roses are basically “plant them and forget them” roses, thanks to their high-tech genetics. There are no chemicals used in the breeding of Easy Elegance Roses, absolutely none. In fact, these roses go through years of rigorous testing well before they’re introduced at the garden center. That testing includes actually trying to give the roses typical diseases. Any roses that show signs of problems are eliminated from the program. These roses develop natural disease-resistant qualities, so I don’t have to apply any nasty chemicals. I love it, not only do they look great in my yard, but I can brag about the plant genetics like I actually know what I’m talking about! And I have lots of extra time to figure out all the connections in the back of my new plasma TV! It doesn’t get any better than that. Hydrangeas
There are two varieties to choose from, Endless Summer Blushing Bride and Endless Summer The Original. Both have the same great easy-care features. Blushing Bride has a striking white bloom and The Original can be either pink or blue depending on your soil. You can actually change the color of the plant by adjusting the pH in the soil. Very cool. They’ve even got a web site that tells you how to do it. Check out www.endlesssummerblooms.com. Better Gift Giving
