Ben Sutton Golf School’s Windham House Resort Campus Wraps Successful First Season

September 28, 2006 – Ben Sutton Golf School -- the nation’s longest-running, largest golf instruction destination – today announces that attendance at its Windham, New York campus, located at historic Christman’s Windham House Resort, exceeded projections during its inaugural season.

Hundreds of students from throughout the United States registered for three-, five- and seven-day programs at the school, which opened April 30 in complement of the original Sun City Center (Fla.) location. Situated in the heart of the northern Catskills -- just three hours north of New York City and one hour from the Albany “Capital District,” Kingston and Oneonta -- the full service instructional facility benefited from its proximity to major east coast population centers such as Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

Students attending classes at the Windham campus took advantage of the school’s new practice tees, target greens and bunkers installed on the resort’s practice facility. The unique design and configuration offered a set of dedicated golf holes for executing chip, pitch and full shots, thus honoring Ben Sutton’s original creed of practicing “real shots under real conditions and situations.” Supporting the all-important transition from theory to practice, students also had access to the property’s 7,072-yard championship Mountain Course, opened in 2002, and the nine-hole, beginner-friendly “Valley 9” executive course. Other amenities on site for use included spacious, comfortable rooms spread among six buildings, “fast-dry” tennis court, pool and ping pong tables in the recreation loft, swimming pool, hiking and fine dining at the historic inn.
