Stoli Debuts Blueberry Flavored Vodka

July 2006 – Twenty years after introducing the first flavored vodka in the United States and igniting a category, Stolichnaya Authentic Russian Vodka will debut the world’s first blueberry-flavored vodka, Stoli Blueberi. To showcase the new product, Stoli turned to The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) to create specialty cocktails that reflect the new flavor.

Utilizing the incredibly talented supporters of DIFFA, which funds HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the U.S., Stoli tapped into the creativity of its top patrons including fashion designers Patricia Field, Betsey Johnson, and Nicole Miller; model Maggie Rizer; and interior designer Barclay Butera to take on the challenge of building cocktails that would showcase this subtle and innovative vodka.

“We are thrilled to be a part of Stoli Blueberi’s launch,” says Steven Williams, Special Events Manager of DIFFA. “Cocktail creation is yet another way we can utilize the talents of our members by challenging them to construct, or design, cocktails using their creativity. Our supporters come from design backgrounds, and Stoli has given them an opportunity to put their skills to the test with mixology.”

Keeping true to Stolichnaya’s unparalleled traditional heritage and reputation for using only the highest quality of ingredients, Stoli Blueberi is the authentic natural blueberry-flavored Russian vodka, distilled from Russian grain and clear natural water. Unique to most flavored vodkas, Stoli adds natural fruit juices prior to filtration to produce its award-winning taste. The vodka is immersed in the aromatic essence of freshly picked blueberries to achieve the distinctive Blueberi taste before being quadruple filtered. Stoli Blueberi is best served ice cold and is smooth enough to drink all by itself.
