Nikon’s my Picturetown Makes it Easy to Upload, Organize, Store and Share Pictures
April 10, 2008 - With new advances to "bring your circle closer", Nikon is pleased to introduce the latest version of my Picturetown, a smart and state-of-the-art photo sharing and storage service. Featuring improvements in design and interactivity, my Picturetown makes it easier than ever for consumers to securely store their photos and share them with family and friends.
Upgrades to my Picturetown include the following:
- The ability to upload RAW (NEF) files viewable as JPEGs
- The ability to search for photos by the date they were uploaded or taken using a calendar
- A full-screen slideshow option for viewing photos customizable with now up to 25 choices for background music
- A new system allowing users to rate their images on a scale of 0-5
- A seamless interaction with Nikon's Wi-Fi enabled cameras including the newly announced S52c
- The ability to receive photos uploaded via the Eye-Fi card
In addition to those listed above, my Picturetown continues to offer easy-to-use upload and organizational tools, the ability to send photos directly to Flickr, a mobile application viewable on BlackBerry devices and smart phones and 2GB free of photo storage.
