Velocity Micro Launches PCs Based on New Intel Core 2 CPUsJuly 27, 2006 –Velocity Micro, the premiere manufacturer of custom-built high-performance PCs, announced today it is selling systems based on the innovative new Intel® Core™ 2 Duo (IC2D) and Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme (IC2E) processors, with pre-orders available immediately at BestBuy.com. Available in a range of systems across Velocity Micro’s lines of home, business, and high-performance PCs, these Intel chips feature revolutionary dual-core performance that significantly improves upon the previous generation Intel processors. Continuing its first-to-market leadership, Velocity Micro will feature the IC2E processor in its Raptor DCX, Gamers’ Edge PCX, and ProMagix lines of custom gaming, digital media, and home entertainment computers, which will also offer NVIDIA® SLI™ mutli-GPU solutions for optimal graphics performance.
