Iomega Announces High-Capacity Mobile Storage for Windows and Mac OS X Users

August 22, 2006 – Iomega Corporation just announced the worldwide availability of two high-capacity portable hard drives that deliver the proven benefits of host-powered operation and Drop Shock technology: the Iomega Portable Hard Drive 120GB Hi-Speed USB 2.0/FireWire drive, and the Iomega Portable Hard Drive 80GB Hi- Speed USB 2.0/FireWire drive.

Both drives feature a sleek metallic industrial design that’s fashionably thin at just 0.5 inches (12.7 mm), weighs less than 6 ounces, and fits easily into a shirt pocket. Both come with industry-leading EMC Retrospect Express backup and disaster recovery software. For improved data security, both drives use Iomega’s durable Drop Shock technology to help protect the drive and data from damage due to unexpected shocks.
