Dell Offers Dual-Core Mobile Processors in Mobile Systems; New Photo Printer
Aug. 28, 2006--Dell today announced availability of the Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors on all XPS mobile systems and Dell Precision mobile workstations, as well as select Inspiron and Latitude notebooks.
The company also introduced the Dell Photo All-in-One (AIO) 946 printers designed to meet productivity needs in small office, home or college dorm environments. Mobile customers also have the flexibility of wired or wireless printing options with the compact Photo AIO 946.
Dell continues to lead the industry in driving the adoption of new technologies into the mainstream. The addition of Intel Core 2 Duo processor availability across all of Dell's notebook product lines helps to ensure customers can choose the best technology experience and value for their money.
The Dell systems with the next-generation mobile processors are designed to maximize performance and power efficiency. With the performance gains, mobile gamers and enthusiasts can intrepidly play the most powerful and complex games, and business users can quickly and confidently access, create, and sort content and data. Multimedia enthusiasts now can be ready for the processor-intensive decoding required by the emerging Blu-ray video and computer optical disk technology. Workstation customers will benefit from 64-bit application support, as well as ability to multi-task in a complex environment and easily run multi-threaded applications.
