Triumph Motorcycles Launches All New 2007 Tiger 1050
October 2006 - Triumph Motorcycles unveiled its 2007 line of motorcycles at a press preview in Santa Monica, CA on Sept. 26th. The biggest news was the reveal of the new Tiger 1050, an all around sports touring bike with a more powerful engine, a striking angular body and wider road tires.
Triumph engineers have worked long and hard to give the new Tiger 1050 the edge it needs to excel. It has overall practicality and comfort, and now the new Tiger 1050 brings the added elements of sporting performance that other brands are lacking.
The technical specifications speak for themselves: The 114 hp DOHC 1050cc inline three-cylinder engine is fuel injected and connects to a six-speed transmission. The sport-tuned suspension is fully adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping. And the dual disc brakes upfront measure a sport-bike-like 320mm and are clamped by 4-piston radial-mount calipers. The best part - the whole package weighs a little more than 430-lbs. An ABS model is also available.
Ditch the bags, go it alone and head for a bit of fun at strange angles. Tucked into a brilliantly balanced chassis, the Tiger's Speed Triple derived engine delivers power and ear to ear grins. Multi-adjustable suspension keeps things planted no matter what, and with a squeeze on those radial brakes, you can stop on a dime.
In profile, The Tiger looks ready to pounce. The sharp, angular lines of the headlight cowl muscle up around the tank and then flow beautifully to the upswept tail. The Tiger looks stunning in Fusion White, Caspian Blue, Phantom Black and Scorched Yellow.
The all-new Tiger 1050 might just be the only bike you'll need in the garage.
