Bosch Introduces Hand Blender Featuring Powerful Lithium Battery

October 16, 2006 – Premium home appliance manufacturer Bosch, producer of versatile food preparation machines, high efficiency dishwashers and advanced convection ranges, has unveiled its first immersion hand blender for the “on-the-go” gourmet. The MIXXO by Bosch, launched in partnership with celebrity chef Todd English as part of his popular Todd English Collection, is a revolutionary handheld blender that prepares scrumptious sauces and refreshing drinks without the hassle of a cord or plug.

In addition, the MIXXO is one of the very first kitchen appliances to utilize a powerful and efficient lithium ion battery. The positive benefits of this are immediate: (1) less charging/recharging time, as it requires only 2 hours right before its first use; (2) up to 20 minutes of continuous blending; and (3) no overcharging or loss of battery power. The LED indicator conveniently displays the battery's power level at all times.

The MIXXO is an easy-to-use and flexible hand blender due to its slim ergonomic shape, powerful stainless steel blades, and cordless design. The unit’s stainless steel and detachable foot crushes ice with ease and is dishwasher safe. For the ultimate in safety, Bosch incorporated a dual-button system: simply press and hold the safety button to activate the power button. Once the main power button is engaged, the safety button can then be released. This sequence is simple for adults, and most importantly, protects against unintentional use by children.
