Size Does Matter…When it Comes to Buying a New LCD TV

October 31, 2007– When it comes to the features that most influence a consumer’s decision to purchase an LCD TV, Price is tops, along with Picture Quality and Screen Size, says a just released poll conducted by HDTV leader Westinghouse Digital Electronics, one of the top four LCD TV manufacturers in the U.S.*

Respondents noted a wide variety of features that influence their LCD TV buying decision. 1080p and Clarity joined Price, Picture Quality and Size in the top five answers. Interestingly, neither “Quality/Reliability,” “Design” nor “Ease of Use” made the top five.

Rey Roque, Vice President of Marketing at Westinghouse Digital Electronics, states, “It is eye-opening to note that price, picture quality and size completely trumped reliability, design and ease of use in this poll. While we believe all of these features and considerations are equally important in actual day to day use, it is compelling to learn about the hot-buttons that impact consumers at the point of purchase.”

Here is the full roster of answers to the question “When buying an LCD TV, what are the top features you look for”:
