Scene It? Movie Edition Game Launches for Mobile Phones

February 15, 2007 --Following the launch of Scene It? Movie Edition for mobile phones, Namco Networks and Sprint today announced the availability of free demos of Scene It?® Movie Edition, the first mobile game to integrate video into the game play in North America.

To celebrate the release of the demo, Sprint and Namco will give away five copies per day of Scene It? Deluxe Movie Edition DVD games created by Screenlife. The giveaway will run from February 15 through April 15, with prizes totaling nearly $15,000. Sprint and Nextel customers can enter the sweepstakes from their handsets’ games home page on the Sprint wireless web or by texting the word “movie” to 26262 on their Sprint or Nextel wireless phone (standard text and data rates apply). Visit www.namcogames.com/sceneit for the official rules and an alternate method of entry.

Loaded with more than a thousand questions including movie clips, trivia questions and puzzlers, Scene It? Movie Edition lets players relive the greatest movie moments from some of Hollywood’s hottest films with text, audio and video questions. Similar to the DVD game, the mobile version features trivia categories that include Invisibles®, Take 3, Rising Star and more.

“The use of video in game play is a first for the mobile games industry and maintains the fun, interactive nature of the Scene It? DVD games,” said Scott Rubin, vice president of sales and marketing for Namco Networks. “By partnering with Sprint to offer consumers free demos of this mobile game, we see a great opportunity to increase consumer awareness of the innovation that is occurring in mobile games.”

Sprint customers can download the free demo by visiting Namco’s customized portal, “Scene It? Sweeps – Free Demo” found on the games home page on the Sprint wireless web or by texting the word “movie” to 26262 on their Sprint or Nextel wireless phone (standard text messaging and data rates apply). Scene It? Movie Edition is available on most Sprint and Nextel Vision and Power Vision phones.*

“Top game companies like Namco have shown great dedication to educating consumers by offering quality mobile game demos and the chance to win fun prizes,” said Joe Ariganello, product manager of games for Sprint. “With video clips and access to new content, Scene It? Movie Edition gives consumers the opportunity to experience a cutting-edge mobile game.”

Today, the game includes more than a thousand questions and the networked nature of the mobile phone gives players access to a growing collection of questions that are sent to the phone during play. Further utilizing the Sprint wireless network, Sprint Game Lobby users can earn a place on one of seven leader boards including highest score, total questions, longest streak and questions correctly answered.
