Paradigm Reference Millenia Series Now Shipping

October 31, 2006 – Paradigm Electronics expands its high-end Paradigm Reference collection with the addition of the Millenia Series, featuring an innovative design for a contemporary lifestyle. The company is launching the series with two models: the elegant Millenia 200 floorstanding speaker and the Millenia 20 LCR.

With their sensational new lifestyle look and award-winning Paradigm Reference technology tucked inside, these new speakers are a stunning initial offering. The slimmest Paradigm speakers to date, they offer the best of both worlds: a next-generation look to complement today’s flat-panel televisions without sacrificing sound quality.

Both models have state-of-the-art-drivers (the 200 has six and the 20 has five!) including: a 1-inch S-PAL satin-anodized pure-aluminum dome tweeter with oversize ceramic magnet/motor structure; two 4-1/2-inch MLP mica-loaded co-polymer polypropylene bass/midrange cones with powerful neodymium magnets centered in a proprietary new heat transfer and dissipation system. The 200 has three, and the 20 has two 4-1/2-inch precision-engineered mineral-filled polypropylene bass cones, also boasting neodymium magnets and Paradigm’s new heat transfer and dissipation system; a high-velocity low-noise aluminum port; composite MDF/aluminum baffle; and a sleek, acoustically inert extruded-aluminum enclosure.

Millenia 200 sits in a molded base fitted onto a glass bottom plate — an elegant touch and one that stabilizes this ultra-slim floorstanding design. The Millenia 20 LCR can be wall-mounted or placed on a new speaker stand Paradigm is currently developing (available late August). An adjustable TV-top/shelf stand is included with the Millenia 20 to ensure stability when the speaker is placed in a horizontal configuration on top of a shelf or TV. As an added touch, the Paradigm Reference logo is magnetically affixed to the grille on this model making it easy to reposition the “20” for a vertical or horizontal configuration.
