New Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 400 Projector
Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Epson America Inc. today unveiled a new high definition front projector that produces stunning image quality, is easy to use and install, and is aggressively priced to appeal to today's growing number of do-it-yourself home theater builders and high-end video gamers. Priced at $1,599 (estimated street price), the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 400 features HD native resolution (720p) in widescreen 16:9 format, uses the latest Epson Cinema Filter and Dynamic Eye Iris to achieve a contrast ratio up to 5000:1, and produces one of the highest brightness levels (up to 1,500 ANSI lumens) in its class. The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 400 will be available mid-September in retail stores nationwide and through the Epson website, www.epson.com.
"This projector is really an incredible value when you consider the type of immersive, high definition experience it can bring to your home for such an attractive price," said Lowell Wolf, product manager, Home Entertainment Division, Epson America. "For years the thought of creating a cinematic experience in your own home -- let alone in high definition resolution -- was something only the world's most affluent consumers might consider. But with a product like this, we're enabling a much broader segment of consumers to maximize high definition technology in their homes and take viewing movies, television and playing video games to a whole new level of fun and excitement."
The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 400 features the Epson 3LCD micro display projection technology for superior color quality and video performance and is loaded with a wide selection of unique image enhancement technologies and adjustment options to satisfy do-it-yourself home theater installers and any end user with especially high standards for image quality.
