New Envision 32-Inch HDTV
July 25, 2006 – Envision Peripherals Inc. (EPI), home to the AOC and Envision branded displays, today introduced the Envision L32W461 32-inch LCD TV, featuring ultra-high resolution picture quality, built-in tuners for digital cable and over-the-air High Definition reception and support for the advanced HDMI digital interface, all at a suggested retail of $899.
Boasting a high resolution 16:9 panel (1366 x 768 pixels) with a high 550 cd/m2 brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio rating, the L32W461 sets a new standard in picture sharpness and brilliance from EPI. Its 8 millisecond response time allows fast transition between frames with virtually no ghosting, and thanks to the 176 degree viewing angle the unit’s ultra rich picture can be seen from almost any point in a room. Its elegantly designed black and silver cabinet and sleek 4-inch profile makes it an attractive space- saving choice for any home or office.
“Consumers who thought they had to wait for a fully-loaded 32-inch LCD HDTV will be delighted by the Envision L32W461,” said Luke Ouyang, Director, EPI Consumer Electronics Division. “The unit’s exceptional performance, versatility, quality, and design-forward styling combine with remarkable value to make it the ideal anchor component for any home or office entertainment and multimedia center.”
The Envision L32W461 ensures a state-of-the art home theatre experience today and well into the future. It provides compatibility with the advanced High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), which delivers crystal-clear, all-digital audio and video via a single cable, dramatically simplifying cabling and helping provide the highest-quality home theater experience. With its built-in Clear-QAM tuner, the L32W461 is designed to decode digital cable transmissions without requiring a separate set-top receiver box, and the advanced ATSC tuner allows reception of over- the-air High Definition broadcasts.
If the unit’s powerful 20 watt speakers are not enough, the integrated all-digital S/PDIF interface ensures compatibility with the latest home theater components. And thanks to built-in VGA support, the L32W461 doubles as a PC monitor for web-surfing at home or office, or for digital signage applications in business environments.
Configuring the Envision L32W461 is simple with the included multi- function remote control. A multiple picture mode offers normal, zoom, wide and cinema options. A parental control V-chip, closed captioning and electronic program guide (EPG) complete the features.
The L32W461 joins EPI’s expanding HDTV product line-up which includes a 27-inch LCD, 42-inch plasma and plans to release a 50- inch plasma model in Q4 2006. EPI products are available through leading national and regional retailers and select online outlets.
