Flying High with Cutting Edge Acoustic Research Headphones

January 7, 2007 – Audiovox today announced its Acoustic Research Mini-Bridge Bluetooth Stereo Headset, that enables users to seamlessly switch from listening to music to answering cell phone calls, will be sold through Airport Wireless and TechShowcase retail outlets in major airports throughout the United States. The ARWH1 headset incorporates the new Qualcomm mirasol display that offers low power consumption and superb viewing quality in a wide range of environmental conditions, including bright sunlight.

“This cutting edge headset is the perfect companion for the business traveler, thus the Airport Wireless and TechShowcase stores are the ideal retail partners for us,” said David Geise, president of Audiovox Accessories Corporation. “Travelers often spend hours in the airport due to delays or layovers and shopping is a great diversion. Having the ARWH1 headset for sale in the airport helps us reach our target customer,” added Geise.

“The Acoustic Research Mini-Bridge headset is a great addition to our merchandise assortment,” said Ilene Berman, Co-CEO, Airport Wireless. “This innovative product fits our mission of providing unique electronics products for the road warrior as well as any consumer who uses a mobile phone. Our stores are designed to be a launch site to showcase high quality mobile electronics and this Acoustic Research accessory certainly meets this criteria. We will demonstrate the product using an interactive display so shoppers can experience the full capabilities of the headset,” Berman added.

The ARWH1 Mini-Bridge Stereo Headset is one of the first Bluetooth 2.0 headsets capable of delivering visual information. It displays caller ID information and status alerts, such as remaining battery life, as icons and text on the mirasol display. The advanced screen allows information to be viewed in various lighting environments, including bright and direct sunlight.

The lightweight headset comes with a lapel clip, charge cord, and high-quality earbud headphones, and the 3.5mm audio jack will work with virtually any standard earphones. An audible alert signals incoming calls, and users can easily switch from music to phone calls. The ARWH1 features bass boost, echo cancellation, and noise suppression to provide a crisp and clear conversation. It has a suggested retail price of $99.99.
