Company Restores Balance to the American Family via “TV Time Management”

October 9, 2006 – Tom Gallop and Brian Baker announce the establishment of their new product - BOB - a product specializing in the technology of television time management. With over 28 years of product development and sales experience, Baker and Gallop started their Boulder CO based-company, Hopscotch Technology, in 2005 based on the belief that many Americans search for more balance in their daily lives. After a little over a year, Hopscotch Technology has created a new product category that will transform the way families use media devices.

“I realized that my children weren’t enjoying the same kind of playtime I had valued as a child,” said Tom Gallop, CEO of Hopscotch Technology. “My children were watching nearly 20 hours of television a week! We set out to build a device that helps parents manage the use of media by their children, and the resulting product is an exceptional tool.”

BOB allows parents to designate media time to each child, either by day or by week. After that time expires, the television, computer, or gaming system attached to the Hopscotch product shuts off. With BOB, parents are able to block specific times, use their master code to override the system anytime, and add time at will to any child’s account.

Located in Boulder, Colorado, Hopscotch has seen their first product encourage childhood fun and balance. BOB is available online at www.useBOB.com, and available in retail stores. For more information on Hopscotch Technology, visit www.useBOB.com.
