Alltel Wireless First U.S. Carrier to Launch XM Satellite Radio

August 10, 2006 --Alltel Wireless, America's largest network, today announced an agreement with XM Satellite Radio that will make Alltel customers the first in the U.S. to have access to a wide range of XM Satellite Radio programming via their wireless phones. Alltel Wireless customers can gain unlimited access to select XM radio channels from the XM Radio Mobile service for $7.99 per month. The application was developed by MobiTV, the global leader in television and digital radio services for cellular, Wi-Fi and broadband enabled devices.

Alltel Wireless customers will receive audio streams of 20 popular commercial-free XM music channels including: The 70s, 80s and 90s decades channels, Top 20 on 20 (Top 20 Hits), Ethel (New Alternative Rock), The City (Hip-Hop/R&B Hits), XMU (Indie Rock), Bluesville (Blues), Highway 16 (New Country Hits), and Viva (Latin Pop Hits).

Customers will be able to select these channels by genre. XM will deliver data to make it possible to view the song title, artist and album while listening on a variety of compatible handsets. "As consumers continue to turn their wireless phones into mobile entertainment hubs, Alltel Wireless continues to explore partnerships to build on our extensive portfolio of content," said Frank O'Mara, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Alltel Wireless. "Having America's largest wireless network, partner with America's largest satellite radio provider was a natural fit, and we know our customers will enjoy XM's stellar line- up of programming."
