KVH and DIRECTV Launch Live Local Mobile Channels

Stuck in the car in traffic? Late to an appointment or big game? Just click to a local TV station to watch the latest live metro traffic and other breaking news as it happens. For the first time, residents of every TV DMA can watch ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX through their local TV affiliates via satellite on the passenger video screens already installed in their cars. The service is available to motorists who equip their car with a new TracVision A7 mobile satellite TV antenna from KVH Industries and subscribe to DIRECTV’s TOTAL CHOICE Mobile with Local Channels package.

KVH has been providing up to 185 channels of live DIRECTV programming to motorists on the open road since 2003, but this is the first time that live local mobile channels have been available.
