Shaking SanDisk sansa for Kids

SanDisk sansa Shaker SanDisk must have minor children working for them in R&D (Research & Development) — because they have one cool product on their hands. Well … now in the hands of kids! The sansa Shaker MP3 Player is really the perfect MP3 Player for all because of its built in speaker.

SanDisk has done a great job developing products for all people, and this product does exactly what it is supposed to … perfectly. On the exterior of the packaging it says, “Ages 8 and up!” So of course my brilliant four year old can handle the task of product reviewer.

Immediately after opening the package, and placing the battery (one AAA) inside, I handed the sansa player over to the little hands. No instruction from me, and within three minutes the pre-loaded children’s songs were playing. “Daddy, Daddy, check this out! It plays music!”

Two hours later, my son figures out that he can skip songs by shaking the player. What an amazing feature — just shake the player for the next song. With a SanDisk 512MB SD Card, 125 MP3 songs can be sifted through with ease, by shaking the player.

Three hours later, I show him that he can use his headphones!

There are also two headset jacks for sharing the player with friends, siblings, etc. My son knows he can plug the player into the home stereo with his cable, and some computer speakers we have. The music can never be loud enough, and I now have a glimpse into the near future with loud music in the house — like father like son. Of course, like any parent there is encouragement to turn the music down to save the eardrums for later use.

This player is only $39.99 MSRP, and has all of these features built in: Speaker, Top Twist Volume control, Dual Headphone Jacks, Strap Eyelet, Bottom Twist (FWD/RWD), USB Connect Port, SC Card Slot, and holds one AAA battery.

SanDisk is the original inventor of flash storage cards, and is the world’s largest supplier of flash storage card products, and you can see what they are up to by visiting, www.SanDisk.com.
