New BlackBerry 8830 World Edition


Blackberry 8830 RIM and Verizon Wireless just announced the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition Smartphone: the first Global CDMA/GSM BlackBerry that allows you to stay connected in more than 60 countries.

The BlackBerry 8830 features a full QWERTY keyboard, trackball navigation and media player and will be supported by Verizon Wireless’ new Global BlackBerry service that provides access to the Internet, e-mail, contacts, calendar and organizer while on-the-go. Users will have access to the Global Support Pack, which includes an international SIM card, 24-hour customer support and a calling card for emergency support calls if the BlackBerry 8830 is ever lost, stolen or broken.

 

The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition Smartphone features:

  • Seamless international roaming from EVDO to GSM/GPRS networks
  • A premium display screen, full QWERTY keyboard and trackball navigation
  • A media player, as well as 64 MB of internal memory and support for a microSD card

  • Integration with BlackBerry Internet Service, which allows access up to 10 personal and corporate email accounts.
  • Integration with BlackBerry Enterprise Server, which extends applications beyond email to support corporate data needs such as CRM, field services and business intelligence, and includes IT policy controls for managing the BlackBerry 8830’s features and usage.
