Return Of The Cool Van

Before the SUV took over the road, the conversion van was the envy of the neighborhood – and with wood paneling, 6-inch TVs and garish paint jobs, who could blame them. Today, with vehicle customization once again popular, these high-end vans are making a comeback.

More drivers today want to customize their vehicles and the conversion van allows consumers to do things to their vehicles they can’t do on other automotive models. For instance, consumers are installing DVD players, 22-inch high definition flat screens and wireless headphones.

The standard features in today's van have been dramatically updated from the classic vans of the 80’s, featuring better fuel economy and all-wheel drive. These vans also have more room inside and get better gas mileage than the biggest SUVs – at about the same sticker price. So don't be surprised if you see one of these at the next tailgate party, or car pool in your neighborhood.
