Motorized Body Cart

Motorized Body Cart Evoking the racing thrills of the luge and the reclined-rider control of a recumbent bicycle, this gasoline-powered board cruises at speeds up to 16 miles per hour, and turns in response to shifts in body weight. At 20-inches high, the streamlined cart keeps the driver close to the ground, which improves handling by keeping the center of gravity low and reducing air drag. A throttle on the right handlebar and a brake on the left handlebar keep precise speed and stopping control in the driver's hands at all times for confident maneuvering.

The cart is powered by the same kind of reliable, thoroughly-proven engine used since 1946 to drive bicycles throughout Europe, and the fuel-efficient motor can travel as far as 45 miles before refueling (depending on driving and surface conditions). Always ready to go, the cart's quiet engine purrs to life with a pull of the ripcord starter, and gets underway with a helpful push from a friend. The rear wheel is a 121/2-inch pneumatic tire for robust drive power, while the two front skateboard-style wheels are engineered to flex in response to weight shifts for smooth turns.

The gas tank holds approximately 1/3 of a gallon of unleaded/oil mixture. Protective helmet, knee and elbow pads are recommended (not included). The cart accommodates a maximum of 340 pounds. For ages 16 and up with adult supervision, and not for use on public thoroughfares. $2,199.95. wwww.hammacher.com
