High-Tech Hotel for the Business Traveler
EPIC, a new luxury waterfront boutique hotel in downtown Miami, was built with the business traveler in mind. This centrally-located hotel is decked-out with tech tools and services traveling executives need most.
One high-tech offering that stands out is that desktop computers are provided in all 411 guestrooms and suites. They are loaded with Microsoft Office software, offer high-speed Internet access, and run an interactive portal that provides guests with hotel information, local Miami guides, and on-demand entertainment. Need to print something? The computers are programmed to print to the front desk, so you can easily pick up your documents when on the go.
Other tech features include:
- Flat-panel digital televisions with VOD - As part of its partnership with Suitelinq, EPIC also delivers SuiteCast™ and SuiteVOD™. These services provide free TV channels and a variety of premium Video-On-Demand channels delivered in high definition formats
- Do Not Disturb Hang-Tags Go Digital - Each guestroom at EPIC features an INNtouch™ guest notification device, which replaces the use of doorknob hang tags, while adding a doorbell to announce the arrival of staff and other guests. Guests also have the option of pressing the "Privacy" button from inside the room to disable the bell and display the privacy indicator on the exterior door plate; or pressing the "Make Up Room" room, which illuminates the corresponding indicator on the LED plate. This is not only convenient, but also ties into the eco-friendly practices of the hotel by no longer printing door tags, and thus reducing paper and clutter.
- iPod Docking Station – featured in all of EPIC's artfully-designed guest rooms and suites
- WiFi Where You Need It - Everywhere – Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel and in every guest room for Kimpton InTouch Members
