Leader International Impression 10 Tablet Review
So, if you're looking for a full-featured Android tablet but think that today's tablet prices are a bit inflated, check out the Impression 10 by Leader International. They've announced their new "Budget Tablet", the Impression 10. The Impression 10 offers some high quality features that other new gadgets like the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Motorola Xoom are offering, specifically a large capacitive touchscreen, a camera, Flash, and IPS Display. Pretty cool, right? Would it impress you even more to learn that it has a sticker of $350 where other companies are asking $500 or more for 10-inch tablets?
Star Rating:
Cost: $350
Where to buy: Leader International
The Impression 10 runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, (it originally came out with Froyo 2.2 as its operating system), and there are some things I like about this besides the price. It features a slim design and intuitive touch navigation via its bright 10-inch display and offers full support for Adobe Flash Player 10.2 for accessing Flash-enabled sites, watching 720P video and playing games.
This tablet weighs 1.6 pounds, 0.48 inches thin, and with Google technology, the Impression brings one-touch access to the popular Google mobile services millions use every day, including Google Search by voice, Google Maps with Street View, YouTube, and Picasa.
Overall, Impression 10 is solid. As a budget tablet PC, the Leader International Impression 10 distinguishes itself in a few other ways as well. For the price, the Impression 10 offers a great 10" capacitive touchscreen, perhaps the biggest and sharpest in the entire $300-$350 range. This alone will surely guarantee that Leader International has a popular model here, particularly given that the responsiveness is also of high quality and video viewing is outstanding for a low-price tablet. The screen sports 1024×768 resolution and wide viewing angles. It also includes a decent camera and supports Flash video.
The Impression 10 comes with 512MB of RAM, 1 GHz single-core ARM Cortex-A8 SoC's manufactured by Samsung and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. And as mentioned earlier, it does embrace a lot of features other Google Android new gadgets and tablets have in the recent past. The Impression 10 offers a 2MP built-in webcam, two built-in mini USB 2.0 ports, a HDMI port, a microSD/MMC card slot (to expand on the 4GB of storage that's built-in), up to 6 hours battery life and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.
"We designed the Impression 10 specifically to deliver a better experience to the budget conscious consumer," said Gary Bennett, Leader International's Vice President of Sales, North America. "The I10 will change the way people look at a tablet that sells for under $350, and expose the world of tablet computing to a new audience."
Along with the Impression 7, the Impression 10 represents Leader International's first stab into the tablet market, and the device shows the makings of a good first try. While some users will have no problems with the Impression 10, this one definitely feels appropriate for first-timers only.

Leader Impression 10-50 Tablet Rocks
Awesome build quality and value for dollars spent is awesome. Highly recommend.
Impression I10
Did you really test this device? I purchased one and immediately had problems with the wifi connection. You include statement that it has a web-cam. Not sure you were provided good information. That is a future upgrade, maybe, according to their customer servcie departement. And then not having access to Android Market prevents from actually finding good applications and/or software. Yes, there are some on Amazon, but a lot of them would not work on the tablet or they were very poor imitations. The speakers are not very good, even when turned to high volume. I returned mine to HSN because of the wifi issue and was misslead on the web-cam availabilty. But then what do you expect for less than $300 bucks.
Leader International Impression 10
Got it from HSN. Am keeping it. Great screen, great slide viewer. Kobo works fine. Asked Impression tech support a couple questions, got answer the same day. Fastest tech response from any company I have ever dealt with. Manual need to be much better and should have an index. Reading the FAQ from the Web Site helped. USB ports are hard to plug into (metal rf shield gets in the way) be careful. USB memory sticks must be formatted as FAT32. (The older ones are formatted as FAT & must be reformatted as FAT32.)
Overall I like it. For the price, I love it.
Impression 10
First one went back to Leader multiple problems all downloaded apps disappear on power down was the clincher... replacement much better Wifi reception/communication requires very solid(STRONG) signal to keep from dropping out.
Impression i10 Tablet
Great buy for the money! I was able to steal this from Sears for $199 as a black friday deal. There is the connection to the Android market. They give you instructions in the package. Sturdy build, fast browser, capactive responsive touchscreen,2.0 camera, easy imput keyboard, long lasting battery life (turned on fully charged at 6:30pm and didn't go dead till 3am with medium to high usage) I could go on and on about how good this tablet is for the money!! Good substitute for ipad, even comes with flash 10.2!! Also good for all types of users.
wifi problems?
Anyone got any luck with wifi? Mine connected perfectly for the 1st week and now it never gets past the 'obtaining ip address' stage @ home.
IMPRESSION 10 Tablet.
I brought mine from HSN 1st week of December. I have been using it ever since and I just LOVE IT!! The WI-FI was slow at first--(I called LI and they helped me through the connection phase), and I have been downloading many diff apps to read many diff news articles, mags, and newspapers Both Domestic+International. I LOVE playing with a few of the games and the Gallery for my picts is alot of FUN! I just started using Kobo. Its a BIG surprise for me. 1 free book comes with your Impression 10 tablet. TY LeaderInt!! :) And the FREE books are FUN to start reading too. I brought my tablet to REPLACE me buying the NY Times newspapers everyday--$2 a day X 6 days + the Sunday paper=$$!! Helllooooo I am NOT a rich man!! Plus to give me internet reading on my Longgg communte to work into NYC! :( Yes, I know they are a few "other" tablets out there that cost MOREEE and have MOREEE features, but since I am in the 99%, please lets be Smart with our $$ OK! Buy this tablet!! Its a GREAT PRODUCT and it Will Save You $$!! All The Best! HAPPY NEW YEAR To You ALL In 2012!! :)
Still having wifi issues
Anyone have an recommendations? Now I can rarely connect at home and the other day I tried connecting to both a McDonald's and Burger King public wifi and it failed on both. Sometimes I have to turn off wifi, power down the unit, turn it back on then turn wifi back on and after staring at 'obtaining ip address' for a while it might finally connect.
I absolutely love everything else about this pad; but if I can't reliably connect to wireless then it's pretty much useless as a convenient replacement to the Linux-based netbook I now carry around (which *does* connect to EVERY public wifi I throw at it)
I found an app in the Android
I found an app in the Android market that's supposed to help repair wifi problems; unfortunately without the market I've no way to put this on my i10.

Just a quick update; I'm
Just a quick update; I'm still unable to see most of the access points at work, but after switching my 2Wire at home from Ch11 to Ch01 I now connect reliably to the home wifi. Will see if this starts to malfunction after a week like the first time or is this a good fix.
Impression 10 Tablet and WiFi
Well, I was given an Impression 10 Tablet running 2.3.1. For one thing, there is no Android Market and actually I am looking to upgrade it to Honeycomb 3.0. In addition, I am sure everyone sees that the Wifi cuts in and out and can be frustrating at times. In addition to the upgrade to 3.0, what I am also looking for is a Wifi adapter or booster that is compatible with this unit and will increase the signal as well as keep it at a constant rate. Any suggestions on this would be most appreciated.
