SOL REPUBLIC Arrives with New Tracks and Amps Headphones

 SOL REPUBLIC Tracks headphones

There's a new headphone company in town – SOL REPUBLIC. Co-founded by Kevin Lee, the son of Monster Cable founder Noel Lee, the new brand promises headphones that offer "unmatched sound, style and durability at accessible prices". And Kevin knows headphones; he is credited for driving the Beats by Dr. Dre line of headphones at Monster.

Obsessed with sound quality, SOL REPUBLIC created its headphones from the ground up and hand-picked a team of audio engineers to develop headphones that deliver full-bass and clear highs, without distortion. But there's more to great headphones than sound. The company listened to one of the most common consumer complaints– headphones that break. So what did they do? They conducted extensive research to find the right material that would make their headphones virtually indestructible. And they found it – FlexTech, a new polymer strong enough to withstand practically any lifestyle.

Available in late August 2011, the new SOL REPUBLIC on-ear Tracks headphones are the first interchangeable on-ear headphones that can be customized with swappable headbands, speakers and cables in different finishes, colors and designs. Priced at $99.99, they feature extra-wide ear cushions for comfort and, of course, are nearly indestructible.

SOL REPUBLIC's in-ear headphones – Amps – will also be available. Featuring the same great sound quality, they start at $59.99 and include a remote and mic.
