Canon Intros Compact imageFORMULA DR-C125 Document Scanner
Canon on Wednesday introduced a new document scanner, the imageFORMULA DR-C125. Great for use where space is limited, the compact DR-C125 features face-up feeding with top feeding and top eject, giving it a smaller footprint.
The scanner delivers color, black-and-white and grayscale scan speeds of up to 25 pages-per-minute (ppm) / 50 images per minute (ipm), and can scan both sides of a document in one pass. Need to scan a long document? The DR-C125 can handle pages up to 118" in length, as well as thick documents, plastic ID cards, embossed cards and driver licenses.
Image processing features include Background Smoothing to improve legibility, Auto Resolution to automatically adjust the output resolution, Auto Color Detection, and Shadow Cropping. The DR-C125 also includes a Full Auto mode for inexperienced users.
The DR-C125 comes bundled with Canon CaptureOnTouch software which simplifies the scanning process and also allows for routing scanned images directly to Evernote or Microsoft SharePoint. In addition, the software can automatically convert scanned images into PDF/A format, as well as Microsoft Powerpoint format. The scanner is also bundled with Windows ISIS/TWAIN drivers and a Mac TWAIN driver for use with third-party Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software.
The Canon imageFORMULA DR-C125 document scanner is available now for $495.
