Sony Tablet Coming this Fall

 Sony Tablets

Sony jumps into the tablet game with the "Sony Tablet". Sony has two tablets in the works – S1 and S2 – which are due to hit stores in the fall.

Both tablets will be equipped with Android 3.0 and are WiFi and WAN (3G/4G) compatible. S1 has a 9.4-inch display, while S2 has two 5.5-inch displays which can be combined to be used as one large screen or each used for a different function (i.e. playing video games on one screen while showing control buttons on the other).

The tablets support Qriocity for music and video streaming, first generation PlayStation titles for gaming, and ReaderStore2 for ebooks. Both devices also feature DLNA functionality for transferring content to big screen TVs or music to wireless speakers. In addition, the S1 sports infrared technology which allows the device to work as a remote control for a variety of BRAVIA devices.

Pricing information has not yet been released.
