Livio Intros Car Internet Radio iPhone App

Previewed last month at CES, Livio's new Car Internet Radio iPhone app (Android version coming soon) is the first mobile Internet radio app designed for use in the vehicle. Available now on the iTunes Store, the app allows you to listen to up to 42,000 AM/FM and Internet-only radio streams from around the world.

Stations can be browsed by genre, location, or language, and the app also has a search function allowing you to easily tune by station call letters or keywords. Already have some favorite radio stations? Use the direct tune feature to input the stations unique code and begin streaming without having to browse.

Another cool feature of the app is if you like the radio station you're listening to and want to find a similar station, all you have to do is swipe a finger across the on-screen dial and the Livio Car Internet Radio app will identify a station of a similar genre and play it for you. Also, unlike a lot of other apps, the Livio Car Internet Radio app allows you to listen to streams in the background on the iPhone while using other applications.

The phone-based Livio Car Internet Radio App also features a sleep timer, and is compatible with iPad devices for use outside of the vehicle. It is available now on iTunes in two versions – a free app which gives you access to hundreds of Internet only stations in your car; and a $4.99 in-app upgrade which gives you access to 42,000+ stations from around the world.
