Panasonic Outs (Even More) LUMIX Digital Cameras

 Panasonic LUMIX ZS10

Panasonic unveiled numerous LUMIX digital cameras at CES, but apparently they weren't done. Today they added four additional LUMIX digital cameras to the lineup.

First up, the new 14.1 megapixel LUMIX ZS10 has a 24mm ultra-wide-angle, a 16x optical zoom and records 1080p video. It sports a three-inch touchscreen LCD and can also geotag photos and videos thanks to its integrated GPS sensor and included software. The ZS10 also has Panasonic's 3D Photo mode -- this setting shoots 20 consecutive shots and overlays the best two to create a 3D effect. The 3D images can then be viewed on a 3D HDTV, digital photo frame or printer that supports MPO (Multi-Picture Object) format.

The Lumix ZS10 will be available in black, red, blue, silver, and brown in March 2011. Pricing has not been announced.

 Panasonic LUMIX ZS8

Panasonic also announced the LUMIX ZS8 which has many of the same specs as the ZS10 but offers 720p recording instead of 1080p and uses a CCD image sensor instead of the ZS10's MOS. It still has a three-inch LCD, but the resolution is a bit lower. Pricing information wasn't announced either, but Panasonic says the Lumix ZS8 will be hitting stores shelves in March as well. It will come in black and silver.

 Panasonic LUMIX FX78

Up next, the compact LUMIX FX78 also touts many of the same features of the ZS10, such as full HD1080p video recording and 24mm wide-angle lens, but it has a 5X zoom and 12-1 megapixel sensor. It features a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen where you can control camera functions such as zoom, autofocus, playback and more directly on the screen. 3D photo mode is also included on the FX78. Just like the cameras above, no pricing is available yet, but we do know that it will come in white, black and gold and will hit stores in March.

 Panasonic LUMIX TS3

Last in the new lineup is the rugged LUMIX TS3. Designed for the outdoor crowd, it includes a built-in GPS function, a compass, altimeter and barometer. It has 12.1-megapixels, a 2.7-inch LCD, 4.6x optical zoom, and is waterproof to 40 feet; shockproof to 6.6 feet; freezeproof to 14 degrees F; and dustproof. The TS3 also records 1080p video, boasts a 28mm wide-angle Leica lens and includes the 3D photo mode. The TS3 will be available in March in red, orange, silver and blue -- but you guessed it, pricing hasn't been announced.
